ERM Immigration Law, PLLC, an award-winning immigration law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Immigration Associate Attorney to join our team to launch our new Bellevue, WA, location and expand our business immigration program. We provide comprehensive immigration solutions to families, businesses, and individuals. Corporate clients range from startups to multinational corporations. The practice is a casual, boutique law firm based in Seattle with a new location opening in Bellevue in Fall 2024.

Business Immigration Associate Attorney

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse caseload of business immigration matters including H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-2, and EB-1/EB-2 NIW petitions, PERM labor certifications, and immigrant visa petitions (non-exhaustive).
  • Conduct consultations with corporate clients and individuals to assess immigration needs and provide strategic advice.
  • Prepare and review complex immigration applications and petitions for filing with USCIS and DOL, respond to RFE’s.
  • Stay updated on immigration law developments and ensure compliance with immigration regulations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to achieve client objectives effectively and efficiently.
  • Handle family-based adjustments of status, visa processing, asylum, TPS, and naturalization cases, etc. (training available).

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar membership in good standing with any U.S. state bar.
  • 2+ years of experience in business immigration law, with a focus on nonimmigrant and immigrant visas.
  • Must be able to independently research, prepare, file, and manage successful EB-1, EB-2 NIW, H1B, L1, E-2, and TN applications. PERM knowledge is highly desirable.
  • EB-2 NIW experience highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and a self-starter excited to contribute to a growing firm.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented.
  • Experience in family-based and humanitarian-based immigration is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Practices collegiality, respect for subordinates, and values a casual workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with family-based adjustments of status, visa processing, and naturalization.
  • Experience with PERM labor certifications and immigrant visa petitions.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
